REMOVE OR REMEDIATE
In-House or Remediation Contractor?

In-House or Out-Source
The core strength of CIRV-M lies in its proactive approach to mould removal and remediation. Depending on the severity and nature of the mould issue identified, the Remove or Remediate phase employs systematic methods.
This approach promotes the correct level of response, providing the best use of resources to achieve fast, measurable results without breaking the budget.
Smaller mould outbreaks can be handled with in-house maintenance staff; an approved mould remediation contractor will deal with larger mould issues.
REMOVE or REMEDIATE is the third stage of CIRV-M
Qualified professionals, trained according to a tiered approach suitable for the scale of the problem, employ specialised techniques for mould removal. This may include surface testing, FAI testing, and other methods endorsed by organisations such as the BDMA and IICRC.
Most general cleaning companies do not have the training required for Mould Remediation and may inadvertently compound a mould issue through improper processes.
All mould remediation should adhere to the guidelines provided in the IICRC S500; S520. The BDMA Standards and PAS:64.
